Consultant Systems: Primary
role was Oracle DBA responsible for administration/maintenance of around
15 Oracle databases from version 7.1.6 to 8.0.5 with sizes varying from
2-20GB across various platforms 2.
Was also responsible for the design, development
and maintenance of several in-house development applications. 3.
Responsibilities also included designing
and conducting training courses on Basic and Advanced Oracle
features and Java for other in-house application developers and other
trainees. 4.
Y2K Support

providing Y2K
support and
consultancy to the
entire division during
conversion of application
software to Y2K
compliant versions as well as
migration of all the Oracle databases to the y2K supported software. Also
being deputed at Tata Refractories India Limited( Belpahar,Orissa ), to
configure and installed the system which was running in Oracle7.0.x was
upgraded to Oracle7.2.3 for their y2k migration. 5.

features. b) . Designed and conducted training in Developer 2000 release 2.1 for in-house developers.
c) Designed
and conducted training in Java courses for in-house developers. The course was spread for 10 days
which included hands on
training and elaborate exercises on using of various Java
Packages likeutil, Networking,io,etc.
Developed Unix shell scripts for Image backups, hot backups, archive backup, user and table level export and import, restoration, monitoring scripts for archiving, hit ratio, object fragmentation, table space utilization, locking etc Developed modules for Reverse Engineering Tool that would generate creation scripts for various schema objects like tables, indexes, constraints, grants, views, synonyms, database links, procedures, functions, packages from their definitions in the data dictionary in Forms 5.0. Developed the above system in Java and correlated it with the Oracle Application Server
