The development machine was RAS configured and using WAPlite as the WAP-gateway. The temporary system was like this: 1) From a WAP enabled mobile, an ordinary telephone line was called which is connected to a modem and to the RAS. 2) The RAS connects the mobile through WAPlite and then to portal-to-go application. 3) The mobile then sends WML requests to the PTG, which then resolute it with the page located in the Internet/Intranet The function of PTG is to map any form level requests and then executes it to extract the result from that website and send back the request to the requester. The requester can be anything starting from mobile, PDA, computer or other devices.
